a.k.a. Robert Eugene Jaywood
The awkward and generally unheroic protagonist of Jailbird Down, whose only real talent is for attracting large helpings of trouble. Has a rather provincial view of how the world should work and a bad haircut.

Blake Dovers
The rather grouchy man who generally hates Eugene's guts. He seems to be searching for something, but Gene isn't even sure if he knows what he's looking for and thinks this may be why Dovers is so crabby all the time. He seems to work with Averall, but doesn't seem particularly enthused about this.
Hasn't appeared yet. Probably coming circa chapter 2.
Marlene Anderson
A rather bubbly cyclops that the crew runs into later on. Doesn't appear for a while, but I felt like drawing her.
